The Patrick Henry Caucus was started here in Utah by state representative Carl Wimmer in May. The organization is going to have a rally here in Saint George on Saturday October 17 at Worthen Park, 400 East and 300 South, 4-6pm. I intend to attend to see what they have to say. Apparently they are strict constructionists of the US Constitution and emphasize the 10th amendment which leaves all powers to the states not expressly granted to the federal government. I thought that the strict constructionist argument went out of fashion with the Civil War. Ah, what some people won't do to oppose change they don't like. I will report on the rally after it occurs. I want to see how many attend and what they have say. There will be question and answer session. The local newspaper is providing publicity.
