Did everyone call their local Representatives yet? If not, get on the stick! We all worked hard to get Barack elected; votin' for him isn't enough in today's world. We are MORE than obligated to do more than sit on that vote!
We must, as vocally as possible, SUPPORT THE VISION for which we voted! And if that means using some cell phone minutes, so be it!
Barack is speaking right now "across the pond", as they say! Strange to see an "American Style Town Hall Meeting" taking place in a foreign country.
I would also add, it is so refreshing to not have to cringe in anticipation of the next words our President might utter! and to get "the straight poop" right away...we did good work, not just for our country, but also the world!
I just LOVE Presidential Press conferences these days! Well thought out answers "off the cuff"...we haven't had that for eight years! Our man seems SO at home on what we might call the "World Stage".
Let's give ourselves a collective pat on the back, and continue to keep working for the man we gloriously put in office!
Let's not forget our transformational First Lady, Michelle! Did you know that, she, in her nobility and grace, is currently more popular domestically than her husband? The percentages are close: He gets an approval rating of 69% (which is very good, especially given the "econmic crisis") and her rating sits at 72%. I wonder how Laura ("Pickles") Bush, Hillary, and Barbara "The Big Mouth-Silver Haired-Buffalo"-Bush (can anyone EVER forgive her for what she said in the wake of Hurricane Katrina? That's why I don't feel bad by calling an old woman what I just did.) think about THOSE numbers?
I am so proud of our First Family. But I will not sit on our laurels; we simply MUST keep active, every one of us who pulled the lever, used the Diebold "voting machine", or employed an absentee ballot to continue to work as hard as you possibly can to support the policies and President for which we voted.
That ends my post, my people! Have a good one! And PLEASE visit and sign up to the CASE SENSITIVE site below my name. It is my other blog, which contains details regarding my upcoming "Art Show", I have mentioned it here as well in a recent post...it is an "event" for which you can sign up as well. Lemme see if I can't find a way to provide the "sign up" here.
