Riders started the day Thursday in Cedar Falls and traveled to Independence. The Bikers for Barack joined in for all 62 miles of the trip sporting "Ride for Change" t-shirts which prompted many cheers. Along the way, the Obama riders stopped at RAGBRAI favorites such as roadside food vendors Pastafari and Beekman's Ice Cream.
The riders also stopped along the way to chat with Black Hawk County farmers and took a photo with the farmers' most reliable and favorite tractor--a 1966 Farmall 806, which still had its original coat of the classic red International paint.
While the riders have returned home now, the energy and excitement about Barack continues to circulate around the state. You can check out this post that also talks about all the Barack supporters involved with RAGBRAI.
