America by its very existence either by commission or omission fundamentally is built on the pragmatic idealism of unity in diversity and appreciation of the necessity of the co-existence of all and sundry for the sake of the propagation of the country as an abode of haven for mankind especially those who lack the opportunity to thrive elsewhere.
Within the horizon of realism, the American people by their action especially in the prevailing political dispensation and in context of the acceptability of Obama first as the Democratic Party presidential nominee and then now as the anticipated winner in come November 4th 2008 clearly and conspicuously manifested that the American people are ready and have decided to reclaim the very basis of their subsistence.
Obama is a reflection of the dogma that we can live together irrespective of our differences, whether it is our divergent racial background, social status or religious and other discriminatory convictions, as Americans we can thrive and help the nation finally accomplish its potential of being the focal point and the hallmark of freedom based on humanity.
The big news of the day was that Roman Catholic Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver accused Catholic groups that support Obama of doing a "disservice to the church".
On my way home from mass, the thought occurred to me that Catholics have a moral obligation to choose the candidate who is most qualified. Obama has demonstrated that he has the intellect needed to address the very complex issues facing our country right now.
I'm no theologian, but I don't want vote for a candidate just because they're pro-life. Been there, done that.
Please get out and vote early! Early voting in Utah starts Tuesday, October 21st and runs through Friday, October 31st.

One of the greatest asset of the Democratic Party and especially in the current political dispensation is the degree of frankness, authenticity, sincerity and commitment to the ideals of the founding fathers of this country in consonance with the convictions of justice, peace, fundamental human right, patriotism and nationalism, coupled with the essentiality of this land being the abode of haven and opportunity for humanity.
Sen. Obama has exemplified all of this indispensable qualities as he attempts to lead the country recognizing the necessity of making the enviable task of bringing hope and change to the country beginning from down up and not the usual up down relationship that has hurt so many Americans and the nation at large.
When Obama announced the nomination of Sen. Biden as his running mate and by implication the number two citizen of the nation, without an iota of doubt even the rival party were taken aback as to how crucial, concrete and pragmatic such a choice was. As have become a common norm in our contemporary society, the vice president must be an individual that is ready to lead the nation in the absent of the president or more appropriately be well position to adequately represents the ideals and convictions that the commander in chief is articulating for the benefit of the nation and its people.
In spite of all the prediction from the pundits about the true intention of Sen. Clinton, the Denver National Democratic Convention had added yet another profound and outstanding opportunity for these mediocre pundits to let what is to be to be!
Sen. Clinton’s appeal for unity is consistent with the articulations and orchestrations by Sen. Obama who is no joined by yet another outstanding personality in the person of Sen. Biden.
Without doubt this combination will go a long way to complement the idealism and at the same time the pragmatism of the American dream and the country’s fundamentalism especially in context of being seen as the abode of haven for mankind.
The call for unity must not be limited to the DNC and the political structures alone, rather this is the time for parents and children to come together for the common good of all and sunders. We must reclaim the family, our community and finally the country be deliberately deciding to work together as a team, rather than pursue the dogmatism of egocentrism and unilateralism.
How can one thank you Sen. Clinton for once more highlighting the necessity of unity? Nevertheless, please accept our thank you anyway and keep the faith, so that together this country can be rescue from the abysses of mediocrity and nonchalance manipulation and machination that does not taken into cognizance the quest and heartfelt desires of the people.
God bless USA
God bless Obama & Biden
During the Christian forum staged by Rev. Warren, McCain was asked when does life starts? His answer was at conception. By implication he is telling the American people and also the Christian community that life as we now know it beginnings with the formation of the zygote in man. On the other hand, Obama replied that he cannot give a definitive answer and more or less pointed to the position of the Supreme Court of the United States of America which up till this very moment is still debating the fact that many school of thoughts; biological, scientific and theologians are yet to agree on whether life begins at conception or not!
Here is the essentiality and pragmatic pitfall in Sen. McCain’s response; in his attempt to claim to be a practicing Christian attempting to woe the evangelicals, his answer to the above question greatly damages his reputation for deliberately supporting embryonic stem cell research, IVF (in vitro fertilization) and even the so-called rhythm method.
In fact in the words of R. Alta Charo, a professor of law and ethics at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, McCain’s views on conception is inconsistent with his support for embryonic stem cell research (http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2008-08-17-candidates-saddleback-forum_N.htm)
The above scenario therefore brings me to the fundamental question of the rebellion by commission or omission or simply put the sin of either commission or omission. If McCain want the American people to believe that he succinctly support the school of thoughts that proclaim that life begins at conception as many Christian communities do, why is he again an advocate of embryonic stem cell research, an avenue that deliberately terminates life?
I was surprised to see this banner in support of Barack Obama in an industrial section of Salt Lake City.
Most unfortunately and as had become the tradition of the incumbent administration Americans are never given either the benefit of doubt or the opportunity to know the entire truth before proposals are acted upon and no matter whether such articulations have fundamental bearing on their lives or not is absolutely not a prerogative at all.
I have had the opportunity to research and at the same time rob minds with American scientists and other experts that are in favor of renewable and other alternative energy sources as the best means of helping to cub the excessive dependence on foreign oils in the country. Without an iota of doubt I am totally in support of the articulations by Sen. Obama, Vice President Al Gore and also please take not to watch the advertisement by T. Boone Pickens (pickensplan.com) as veritable and pragmatic alternative sources of energy that our experts and others who love this country can help transform into a reality.
However Americans must be willing to give them their support by calling on local, state and national government and the corporate bodies to help these groups of experts for posterity sake and for the next generation.
Here is an example of a Republican imposter who uses the network and makes all sorts of derogatory comments about Sen. Obama.
At times his post comes up with the name NONPARTISAN other at times it read G from Bella Vista, AR.
It is sad and unbecoming of a fellow citizen to refer to a presidential candidate of the country as a socialist not even a liberal or democrat. His hatred for Obama is just too alarming and exponentially detrimental and inimical to himself.
My hope and wish is for him to learn how to tolerate others that have divergent views from his. America does not need his kind, in contemporary society, since such dogmatism, sentimentalism and archaism if actually the fundamental reasons why the country is undergoing it’s prevent debacles and abysses of socio-economic maladies.

My dear Republican friend,How come McCain was not elected when he visited Europe and the Middle East?In fact you surprise me a lot with your myopic expression, which is tantamount to an individual living in medieval times. As you may well know I have been reading and trying to reply to every of your response to my post.

My deepest and heart-felt congradulations to Barack and his wonderful wife Michelle who, when she came out to Salt Lake City earlier this year, brought the house down with her rally in Utah's capitol city. God speed to both of them because now, and I know they both know this, on we go to finish this march to the White House for Barack to be our next president!
Barack now is in the same league as George Washington, John Adams, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan among others. His achievement in winning the presidential nomination is matched only by his congenial spirit to bring people together as a uniter because after all we ARE still the UNITED States of America.
This is absolutely historic. Nothing can stop us, now. And John McCain, as well as everybody else, also should know it's not even his time. It's Barack's time. History is on Barack's side which even as a woman, who's of only the third generation of voting women in my family, I understand. It's simply not womens' time, yet.
As a loyal follower of Thomas Jefferson I'm tellin' ya in my political soul I know he is looking down from heaven, where he is et al of our beloved fore-bearers are, with approval. And I think Dr. King also would be pleased.
Barack's presidential nomination is what President Kennedy talked about in the 1960s in his civil rights speeches, it's what President Lincoln intended a century earlier by issuing his Emancipation Proclamation, and it all proves Barack is right for America. On we go, to the finish line, to the White House!
Again I exclaim with deep pride, in this winning movement Barack now has going full speed and tears of joy in my eyes, Congradulations to Barack and his wife and family. God speed on his presidential nomination victory!
Sincerely,
Kathy Caudle

Hey group, John McCain is going around the country trying to portray himself as a moderate and distance himself from Bush! We need to make sure voters realize that McCain is just like Bush on virtually every important issue facing our country—and that a McCain presidency would be like Bush's third term. This will be a very fun event!
Life-size figures of Bush & McCain!

Once again, Senator Obama has made me a proud supporter. As a dear friend of mine stated it: I admire his restraint in not making a major declaration of victory. I want a President who knows tact, strategy, when to keep his mouth shut, long range goals, etc.

Operation Democracy Overview
It's clear that our country is facing some enormous challenges. Big Oil companies are allowed to write our energy policy. Millions of Americans don't have health care—and many of us who have it, can barely afford it. Five years, and thousands of casualties later, the war in Iraq still rages on.
To truly meet these challenges, we need to build up a progressive power base that is strong enough to overcome the influence of the radical right-wing and rich corporate special interests. We need to be able to apply real pressure on politicians to act on the issues we care about—and to work on winning elections so we can hold them accountable when they bow to special interests.
Operation Democracy is about taking MoveOn's work beyond email and building that power base— by organizing hard hitting actions in communities from coast to coast.
What we do
Operation Democracy provides extra strength to MoveOn's priority campaigns. In the fall of 2006, winning back Congress was MoveOn's biggest focus. Operation Democracy volunteers played a huge role in making this happen by providing the backbone for our campaign to get out the vote.
Many Operation Democracy actions are focused on earning media coverage, to educate the public and put pressure on elected leaders. To help with this, we provide volunteers with training and tools for breaking through to the media in their community.
Rapid response is also hallmark of Operation Democracy. When important news breaks, we want to be able to quickly respond with powerful local actions. For example, the day after President Bush announced he was sending more troops to Iraq, Operation Democracy led the way in organizing 500 rapid response emergency rallies. The rallies were on the front page of papers across the country and demonstrated that the public was opposed to Bush's plan.
How it works
At the core of Operation Democracy are hundreds of coordinating councils. Councils are groups of dedicated volunteers who work together in their community to organize MoveOn actions, like rallies, vigils and press conferences.
Councils have core members who plan each event and other members who just help out whenever they can. Each council has a council coordinator who makes sure the events are successful and the council is growing (recruitment is an important part of Operation Democracy).
To help councils grow even stronger, we have a team of volunteer Regional Coordinators and staff organizers who provide training and support.
Over the last few decades, the radical right-wing has build up a powerful infrastructure and large corporations have had enormous sway over our lawmakers. We can overcome these special interests if we bring people power back to American politics. We created Operation Democracy to help do just that.
