-You have to remain cautious of the company of those who do not have remembrance of God the father of all souls, within their intellects, and whose intellects continue to wander here and there."
"You should not sit next to them, not even touch them, because those who do not stay in remembrance of God spoil the atmosphere."

"Those extremist right wing racist republicans just cannot accept the voice of the people. Americans elected Barack Obama as president and the racist republicans need to get over it and get a life."
"(About "tea party" Protest about Obama Health Care) - I think There's a new name for what these people are protesting. It's abbreviation is "PWB" - President While Black. I've been sensing this quite a lot of so-called protests recently. You can see it particularly in red angry faces of people like Joe "You Lie" Wilson
Approximately 1 million people will attend the Caribbean Day Parade on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn on Monday, September 7. Help us spread information about our broken health care system and the Obama plan for health care reform. We will set up tables along the parade route with flyers listing online sources for issues such as comparative costs and results of health care spending (US vs. other countries), the economics of health care, how we will actually save a lot of money by investing in health care reform now, etc. We will also provide info on how to connect with other people who want to bring real change to our health care system and help people to get involved in pressuring Congress to pass a health care reform bill with a strong public option. Two days after my tearful, transfixed position in front of my television watching the farewell rites to Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy I am able to see clearly to convey personal gratitude to the lion-sized, politician who dignified the U.S. senate.
That he gave so much throughout almost five decades is one thing but I will never forget how he pulled himself together, travelled to Denver, Colorado last year in order to support the nomination of Barack Obama despite his ailing condition.
How special was that? Who does that in this selfish universe? Only Sen. Ted.
Fact is, he never seemed ill.
His roar was as powerful as ever.
His gait as commanding as never before.
And without baring any claws he showed his colleagues -- cubs and seniors -- how and why they should follow his lead.
On the very same day, Sen. Ted was funeralized, I planned to celebrate the 51st birthday of music icon Michael Jackson. More than ever, I wanted to celebrate life. Brooklyn's Prospect Park held a huge outdoor birthday party at the Nethermead from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and although I had convinced myself not to watch television, I could not resist a quick peek.
Needless to say, the dignity of the Kennedy clan held me hostage. From the youngest offspring, Teddy III to the eldest Sargent Shriver -- they all displayed enviable strength and pride in family.
I did manage to attend the MJ party. And in celebrating the life of the king of pop also hailed the lifelong contribution of the king of the jungle AKA the US senate.
Since the election of the first Black president, I have virtually shunned debates on health care. The non-sensical arguments give me no reason to join the discussion. Talking with friends overseas, I have become apathetic. None of them understand why America does not want universal health care. I have stopped trying to explain the ignorance and racism that has clouded Republicans and Democrats who are fighting the proposal.
But that Sen. Ted died knowing there was a fight is such a dishonor to his legacy. Some Republicans are even saying had he lived he would have changed his mind. How ingracious of these manipulators to concede.
My apathy is shameful and perhaps disloyal to the president but I am exhausted by the stubborn, selfish, rantings and most recently the comment from an insult to all women who said "we need a great white hope."
What we need is introspective. Especially now that Sen. Ted, an advocate for the American majority is no longer able to lead the way. Ted, the lion sleeps tonight.
Hello everyone.
Sure. It's been a while since my last post, but, fret not, I've been quite busy for our cause. Recently, I've been ingesting and decifering the lastest revised bill to come out of the House. From what I can tell, there's is much to be explained for the layman. In my opinion, that's about 73% of our country's population.
Besides death panels and other outrageous drummed up issues, the opposition, which consists largely of simply uniformed individuals, has no foundation to stand on. Even in the bible, we learn the lesson of the house built on the sand. Because there is no basic principal foundation for the opposition, they will fall in the end.
A strong wind ( liberal uprisig - A.K.A. knowledge ralley) will began to tilt the house that health care reform ignorance was built on. Once this tilting occurs, most of the uninformed will stand with us. i know this because no one wants to be on a losing team. To drive that point home further, would you stand inside a collapsing building?
Therefore, though our work ahead will be strenous, we ought not wait to began bringing down the house that ignorance built. We have a way of bring understaning and confromity to our opponents when we show our teeth and extend our hands ( with the proper test answers scribbled on them). So get out there and turn water into wine. Trust me..., they'll love that.
...It's not easy, but Yes We Can.
Given the mob tactics and misinformation being spread by those who seek to profit from the sick and vulnerable, we must now stand up for those who cannot. We must talk to our neighbors, friends, co-workers, union members, family, and communities of faith to create real action on Health Care Reform today.
If you haven’t already, please visit OFA’s Health Care Action Center to find simple tools that will help you make a difference from home.
Also, join President Obama for a special strategy meeting on Health Care Reform this Thursday, Aug. 20 at 2:30pm Easterm Time.

I obtain so much information from my sisters and brothers on OFA. I find it helpful when
calling my neighbors list. It is amazing that so many folks that voted for our President have
forgotten his words that "CHANGE" doesn't come easy and we must want it bad enough to work
with him to make it happen. I will continue to post daily on OFA,...however time making calls,
attending listening events and canvassing go hand in hand with our OFA BLOG. I,like so many
others here have learned how to post and make calls and email our Senators at the same time.
I hope calling a few neighbors daily will be added to that agenda.

Do you know that person E (I will not say names-just in general based on real facts of my friends) Is a senior citizen lady who has a stroke and diabetis 2. Well, You see, person E went to the foot doctor's office and the foot doctor prescribed her a nail fungus medicine that cost 100 dollars -99.99, and so, this medicine that she needs is not cover by medicare or medicaid which she has but it must be paid cashed (Duane Read said) so I called person E foot doctor for the lady who because of the stroke her speach is not quite that clear and explained that the lady cannot afford the 100 dollars medicine - thank God the Foot Doctor said he is going to try to see if he can prescribe her another medicine that is cover by medicaid. Well this lady she cannot afford this medicine for her toe nail fungus infection and she happens to be a diabetic and lives in a city project, it is a Shame that my friend this lady cannot afford the Good 100 dollars medicine that she soo much need specially her being a diabetic. So you see so many people go without their must needed medications because the medicines are not cover by medicaid nor medicare nor HMO's or either they have to get another medicine that is not as effective. This is so wrong, all human beings rich or poor should be able to get the best medicines and treatment possible.
Sincerely
Mary
