In spite of my discriminatory employment experience I love this country. I attended the University of Florida for three years and I graduated from SUNY at Brockport in 1989. I majored in Political Science and minored in Criminal Justice. My only son served this country as a military police officer in the United States Marine Corp. He is currently a police officer a position that he has held for fourteen years.
I am SO thankful that President Carter addressed the fact that “some” people are opposing President Obama’s policy because of the color of his skin. Hopefully, President Carter’s remarks will put those in elected positions on notice that we are watching and listening to them. I am also hoping that it will give other Americans courage to take a stand against racism in any form that it may present itself to them.
It is not necessary for President Obama to address this issue because his supporters will address it for him. Our President is responsible for making this a more perfect nation for all of us and he has more than enough on his plate at this time.
I believe that President Obama has exhibited a spirit of cooperation with all the members in Congress regardless of political party. The economy is getting better, that the cash for clunkers program was successful, that the stock market is recovering it loses, and that the unemployment numbers are down. In spite of this clear evidence that President Obama has made wise decisions for this nation the Republicans have criticized and opposed him.

President Obama has demonstrated in words and actions that he is the President for “All” Americans. He loves and wants what is best for all of us this includes those who voted for and against his Presidency. In view of that fact all Americans should support him and his agenda to make us a more perfect union. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that this is a realistic expectation in our current racial and political divisive nation. African-Americans can’t control what others do but we can show our undivided support for our president. Therefore, I am asking that we keep President Obama in our prayers and to support him any way possible including his calls for service or action.
On June 27, 2009, I participated in a National Health Care Day of Service event. I decided to attend the event after President Obama encouraged Americans to give back by participating in a community event to promote National Health Care Day of Service. In addition to my group a large group of students from Prairie View A & M University also selected the community garden as their National Health Care Day of Service event.
The event was held at the Last Organic Outpost which is a non-profit organization committed to developing unban agriculture in the greater Houston area. One of the goals of the organization is to help people to learn about health and nutrition by growing what one eats.
People that volunteer to work in the community garden can take fresh produce as their method of payment.
You can learn more about the organization by logging on to www.lastorganicoutpost.com.

Based on Justice Ginsburg’s opinion I should have survived summary judgment as a matter of law after I present direct evidence that proved that the Defendants’ non-discriminatory and non-retaliatory explanations were false in their summary judgment motion. Yet the Court refused to review my case (02-6223)but reviewed and reversed the Ricci case.
I tune in and out of Fox News nightly to listen to their views. They state with confidence that the people don't want President Obama and his agenda for this country. I am amazed that they continue to use the same assertions on what the American people want and do not want. News flash we don't need the chatter of Fox News, Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh to tell us what the American people want or do not want. America know what Americans wants because Americans voiced their desire with their vote in 2006 and 2008.
In 2006 America voted for change but the new Democratic majority in Congress was unable to deliver that change because of the tactic of the Republicans members of Congress.
Fast forward to the 2008 Presidential season. During the 2008 Democratic primary the Republicans listened to Rush and registered and voted as Democrats in a failed effort to defeat President Obama. Rush's tactic HELPED then Senator Obama win the ultimate prize the Presidency because he had staff already in place in many states for the general election. The Republican Party believed Hannity when he declared that his exposure of Rev. Wright's sermons had effectively ended President Obama's quest for the Oval Office. He made his declaration one night because he want to be credited with ending Obama's chance to be President. Hannity's declaration on his show was completely false. Rush and Hannity please note that in 2008 the American people were given a clear choice of the past eight years and Republicans leadership or that of then Senator Obama. With results that changed the political landscape of America (Florida, VA, and IN voting democratic) they voted for PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA, and the continued leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Reid in Congress.
Our issues are too great and the outcome is too important to continue to entertain personalities that goal from day one is to deny President Obama's place in the history of this nation and the world. President Obama vision for this nation is for all Americans. During his brief time in office he has demonstrated a willingness to work with Independents, Republicans, and Democrats to do make this a better nation. I am so proud that President Obama is the President of the UNITED States of America.
In four years the Fox News personalities, the Right, Rush, and those who opposed President Obama's political positions will have their change for a rematch. Until the next presidential election it is time that we get behind the current President Barack Obama and do all that we can to restore this country's financial well being.
We must remember that this country has one President at the time. Freedom of speech is one thing but statements and strategies aimed at dividing this nation are not appropriate. We are not red or blue states or black, yellow, brown, red, or black Americans. We are the United States of America and we are all Americans with the common goal to restore this nation's economy. Last Saturday, I voted for Senator Obama, the next president of the United States of America. As I existed the polling station (a church) in Houston, TX, I cried. Not an ulgy cry but a soft cry of joy. I could not prevent the tears that formed in my eyes. Although my tears were for pure joy I decided that a more appropriate action would be to call someone to celebrate my unthinkable joy.
I called my sister Linda in Lakeland, Florida. I shared my story with her and she recounted her voter story with me. She voted for Obama the day before on Friday. We thanked God for the opportunity to vote for such a wonderful man and asked for his continued grace and mercy for Obama.
We know that the road thus far has been difficult. It will not get any easier in the next 6 days remaining to election day. We know that we as a nation are a strong God fearing people. Therefore we will trust God and know that he already knows the outcome of this election and all the slim and misdeeds that will confront Senator Obama.

Charlie Black’s Bhutto’s Assassination Remarks makes Senator Obama’s Future Trip To IRAQ An Unneccassary Danger: According to Charlie Black, McCain's chief strategist, “The assassination of Benazir Bhutto in December was an "unfortunate event.” "But his (McCain’s) knowledge and ability to talk about it reemphasized that this is the guy who's ready to be Commander-in-Chief. And it helped us." Charlie Black and Mark Penn, former chief strategist for Hillary Clinton are business partners. Penn is the CEO of Burson-Marsteller, which is one of the largest public relations firms in the world. Clarlie Black is the Chairman of BKSH which is a lobbying subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller. One of the noted client of Burson-Marsteller is Blackwater. In 2007, Blackwater a private security firm was accused of killing several Iraqi civilians. Blackwater hired BKSH to help them with their image after the Iraqi civilians' claims.
America can’t afford to lose Senator Obama. Many Americans especially Black Americans need the hope and excitement that Obama brings to the political arena. If he was killed in an “accident” in Iraq or worst the Bush Administration would be in charge or investigating his death. Based on the results of Tillman investigation and 2003 leak of CIA operative's identity investigation how successful would an investigation of an “accident” and/or an “assassination” of our Democratic nominee be in Iraq?
After Obama is in the White House he can travel to Iraq. If anything happens to him as a sitting President Obama’s Justice Department would be in charge of investigating and bringing those responsible to justice. OBAMA the only way you can lose this election is if you are DEAD or IF your name is not on the ballot. The Republicans know this fact. Please Senator Obama remember according to you this election is not about you it is about the American people. In 2006 the American people voted for the withdrawal of the Troops and Congress hasn’t been able to deliver on that mandate. You made a promise to us that we are going to withdraw our troops from Iraq. Your campaign strategy has been brilliant don’t let the Republicans dictated your plans, schedule, and agenda. Obama remember according to you this election is not about you it is about the American people. We have wait forty years since Dr. King’s death for Senator Obama and we can’t wait another forty years for the movement that is Barack Obama to occur again in this nation’s history.

In an article dated May 27, 2008, titled “Assassination Chatter and the End of Legitimacy” David Bromwich of the Huffington Post wrote in part: “Legitimacy is the most elemental and elusive of political goods; a gift which only a society can give its leaders, and only the same society can take away. To deprive a politician of legitimacy is long and serious work. A good deal of the process has always taken place behind the scenes before the evidence comes into view. We have seen a return this year to the politics of delegitimation by the extreme Republican right. Yet what has been most surprising is the complicity, and then the open participation in that process by the Clinton campaign.” I believe that the Republicans and others that support many of Bush's fail policies have mounted an effort to deprive Senator Barack Obama of his legitimacy in general and on the Iraq issue in particular. My belief is based on the following recent activity. On May 23, 2008, Vets for Freedom posted a video titled “Senator Obama: Talk to Commanders or Meet with Dictators?” According to the official web site Vets for Freedom PAC is a Political Action Committee whose mission is to help candidates—mostly combat veterans—who believe in achieving success in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the overall War on Terrorism, get elected to the United States Congress and other Federal positions. The transcript of the video reads: "Obama wasn't available to meet with us [combat veterans],But we weren't surprised. Because he hasn't once, sat down one-on-one with our in Iraq, Gen. Petraeus. Worse, he hasn't been to Iraq in two-and-a-half years. He's unwilling to get the facts on Iraq, yet he is willing to travel to Iran to meet with their leader or anyone else who hates our country... The question for America is, if Barack Obama won't listen to us, who will he listen to?" Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain are listed on the Vets for Freedom’s website as honorary Policy Board Advisors. On Sunday, May 25, 2008, Senator Lindsey Graham stated on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that Senators McCain and Obama should travel to Iraq together. He suggested that both Senators meet with General Petraeus and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. On Monday, May 26, 2008, John McCain sharply criticized Barack Obama for not having been to Iraq since 2006, and said they should visit the war zone together. On the May 26, 2008, Monday night edition of "Hannity & Colmes" Rich Lowry, was the guest co-host. Lowry and Colmes discussed the issue of Hillary getting out of the race with Townhall.com columnist Amanda Carpenter, the managing editor of RedState.com, Erick Erickson, and Keli Goff, political analyst. The end of the rush transcript for the show records the following exchange: LOWRY: “Well, of course, I mean, it's absolutely key in the heartland of the country. Let me add real quickly, something that flared up today between McCain and Obama. McCain pointed out that Barack Obama hasn't visited Iraq since 2006. And conditions have radically changed over the last two years. Do you think Obama knows what he's talking about when it comes to the Iraq war?" CARPENTER: "Well, he — he can assume that he's been briefed on it. But we've heard that before about national intelligence estimates. I mean, the fact that Obama has only taken one trip to Iraq and he thinks that he's the one to see out of it, you know, I think he has homework to do. And maybe he should take some time off the campaign trail to visit our guys there.” It is my belief that Bill and Hillary Clinton are active participants with those that are attempting to deprive Senator Barack Obama of his legitimacy on the Iraq issues. (My belief is base of the appearance of an endorsement of Hillary by Fox News and Rush Limbaugh.) In view of the above-mentioned belief the next voices that we will hear challenging and encouraging Obama to take a dangerous and unnecessary trip to Iraq will come from Senator Clinton’s campaign. In a 2007 interview on Fox News with Van Susteren, Clinton stated that she has been to Iraq and Afghanistan on three occasions. She listed 2003, 2005, and 2007 as the years that she visited Iraq. Therefore, it will not surprise me if Hillary herself makes the visitation to Iraq by Obama an issue in the coming days. Senator Barack Obama doesn’t have to go to Iraq to prove anything to those who what to defeat him or cause him harm. The voters in 38 of the 50 states have given Obama the gift of legitimacy and only the voters of this great nation can take it away from the next President of the United States of America - Barack Obama. “
May 30, 2008 Updated
On Wednesday and Thursday (May 29, 2008) McCain and all three major cable news network made it an issue that Obama needs to go to Iraq.
Today all the cable news networks are reporting that Obama is considering going for a "visit" to Iraq this summer.
I love and support you Senator Barack Obama. You have exhibited sound judgment please trust your first response to a trip to Iraq. This whole notion of a trip to Iraq is indeed a political ploy by desperate people that will do “ANYTHING” to win this election.
I and many of your supporters would love to have you as our President. The only thing that would make me happier than you becoming President Obama would be for you to live a full life. A long life that includes you attending the high school and college graduation of your beautiful daughters. To know that you were a good husband for your beautiful and loving wife for 50 years is worth more than you “proving” your legitimacy by going on a trip to Iraq.
I am a Christian and I say HELL NO, SENATOR OBAMA DON'T GO TO IRAQ!!!!!!
The Democratic Party has given Hillary more than enough time to gracefully bow out of this race. She not only refused to leave the race but she is dividing and not unifying our party. Months ago on FOX news Hillary announced her intentions to take her impossible fight all the way to the convention. After Hillary followed Obama to Florida she stated again that she is willing to take her fight for the Florida and Michigan delegates to the floor of the convention. The fact that Senator Clinton is demanding all of the delegates from Michigan is evident that she doesn’t have any intentions of achieving a fair settlement of the FL and MI primaries. There is no doubt in my mind that Hillary will reject any resolution proposed by the DNC on May 31, 2008. Bill and Hillary will not only reject the resolution but also seek court intervention because of Hillary's blind ambition. Therefore, the only way to prevent the total destruction of our party is for the undeclared superdelegates to pledge their support for Senator Obama before May 31, 2008. The Democratic Party is bigger than Bill and Hillary Clinton. Senator Obama won this race fair and square. Obama must reach the current 2025 or 2026 number of delegates needed to secure the nomination before the Clintons file their legal challenges in court and/or Hillary executes her planned nuclear option. The urgency is now. The party can’t wait until June 3, 2008. Senator Reid, Representatives Nancy Pelosi, and Shelia Jackson-Lee, President Carter, and Al Gore please lead our party and endorse Obama today.
