Biofuels are being converted into Ethnol to use as a resource in transporatation fuels.
Greenfield Ethanol Inc and Enerkem are combining their technology to bring renewable energy to Canada and the United States.
A plant is going to be built in Pontotoc, Mississippi as well.
I've noted more details about this on Idea Girl Consulting Word press.
Read about the Westbury, Quebec plant here.

One of the main reasons that Changing World Technologies was having so many money issues was because of several shut downs due to turkey odor problems bothering the surrounding communities.
Now a new technology has been researched and developed to transform the odors into Carbon Dioxide and Pure Water.
A process that requires little money and lots of ingenuity!
Our renewable energies people should be taking a look at this new technology and implementing it as soon as possible!

Just a word of thanks to eco inventions for giving me this link! :)
One of the things that created the millions of dollars in debt was the high utility costs that CWT had to deal with to do the Thermal Depolymerization process to create oil and gasoline from garbage. I think i've come up with an idea to help with those costs. They should look into RETSCreens technology for gas turbines. A unit that creates heat and hydro for City Hall in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. This technology should be used in all government offices, to save money. This would be a great idea for Obama's Green Team as well as The Canadian Government Office Buildings. It should actually be considered worldwide.

There was an article featured by the Green Team – Matthew Van Dongen and Tiffany Mayer in the St Catharines Standard today about RETScreen International. You can email them at: standard@stcatharinesstandard.ca Subject: Green Team
RETScreen International is Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Technologies. This software program has been used for local water power generators and biomass plants. RETScreen is a federal government software program that evaluates potential renewable energy projects. For sustainable energy worldwide and has over 200,000 users. Greg Leng is the Director of the Natural Resources Canada Program. The software program was created by Greg Leng at the University of Massachusett’s Master’s Thesis and it’s aimed at professional engineers, planners and architects. But it can be used to estimate energy production, building costs and green house --gas savings for projects of any size.
Non- technical homeowners make use of the program too. RETScreen will tell you if you have enough solar energy in your area to justify installing a solar water heater. It will determine how much energy, and money you’ll save and provide a list of product supplies. Larger Product Developers will use the program to cut costs on preliminary research and “screens out the bad projects” quickly.
It was used to determine whether to build a wind farm in Niagara. The question was; Is it worthwhile pursuing this project? In past it might have cost you $50,000 to $100,000 to answer that question. Expert Program will do it for $500 or $1,000. The Program can save millions of dollars for fledgling green energy development projects. Greg Leng said the program has saved about $4 billion over the last decade.
They say that, “Projects associated with RETScreen will keep the equivalent of 20 million tones of carbon dioxide annually out of the environment by 2012.”
It’s a proven money saver – the Federal Government gives out the software for free. “The goal of the program has always been to remove barriers to a much broader implementation of clean energy, not to store them up,” Leng said.
The United Nations, The World Bank and even NASA have all invested in RETScreen over the last decade. The program is available in 35 languages. In St Catharines, Rankin Construction used the program for a “ball park” potential of its proposed hydro power project on the Welland Canal by Engineer Jordan Beckhuis. The company is now finishing the last of the three two-megawatt turbines using canal water to pump out electricity.
This software program is being used in over 170 Universities and Colleges. If you want to check out the program for yourself visit: http://www.retscreen.net/ang/home.php

As we celebrate President Obama's first 100 days in office, we can take a look back at a job well done. It's great to see a President keep all of his campaign promises to some degree. When we compare him to President Bill Clinton, or President George W Bush, it's like night and day. Here's a man that wants to hear from his followers and takes the advice of everyone who is willing to voice their concerns.
It was a genius named Christopher Hughes who helped develop this community site, so that for the first time in history we could talk about the things we love about the United States. A place where we can create a community, raise money and blog about politics.
It's the information age, and President Obama is young, fresh and jubilant as a leader. A great mentor and one we can look up too. I love the fact that he uses his blackberry and posts notes on Twitter every now and then.
A modern day President, one who addresses the problems of the nations and travels around the world to set up a web of communication with all the super powers of the world. At first the Taliban seemed to sit back in surprise, here was a man to contend with. One who shows great wisdom, brings people together and unites us all as one strong unit. Its no longer one countries battle against terrorism, it's the world (population 6,706,993,152)against a small group of people that refuse to be peaceful on this earth.
All this fighting and war that goes on affects the vibrations of the earth. Does the Taliban care about the earth or it's people? Don't they believe in Karma? What they do to others, it shall be done to them. Maybe everyone should pray that the powers that be will deal with these evil men who are hurting innocent people to prove a point. All we see is a bunch of men who like to murder innocents, if they are trying to get across a "religious" message, it's not working. I'm sure they are very wise men in the Taliban, perhaps they should take a step back and look at what's going on in the world. Instead of bringing destruction to the earth, they should try to resolve their differences and help to bring peace instead. What is it that they need and want? Does the Taliban just want our attention? Is this the basis for the violence that they insist on placing on the shoulders of our world leaders?
Only goodness can win, even if evil rears it's ugly head, united nations will stand and those that are evil will fall. And all will be naught. It's best to work with the world and not against it. Peace is what we all want. We want our family, children and loved ones to be safe and not have to worry about biological diseases caused by weapons of war.
I know we are all impressed with President Barack Obamas way of dealing with every issue and the problems left behind by other presidents. He takes each problem as a grain of salt and works to bring resolution to problems that have plagued the US Government for 100's of years. It's nice to know that President Barack Obama can be trusted. We can believe in this man that he will do as he says. Let's all jump on his band wagon of life and help him achieve his goals, we will all benefit from it, I'm sure!
I have posted more articles about President Barack Obama's First 100 Days on http://ideasaboutlife.today.com/2009/04/29/the-44th-president-barack-obama-brings-change-to-the-oval-office/

Dear linda,Happy Monday! Have you told a friend, colleague or reporter about Bridge2Science? Simply send them to www.bridge2science.com for information. Here are two new requests for experts.----------------------------------------Battery prices for the electric vehicle industryName: Anonymous*Media Type: BlogExpertise needed:There is a department of energy program which has set a target goal for battery prices for the electric vehicle industry, I would like to get a credible source who can share certain information on how battery prices are currently and trending towards hitting commercially practical levels based on the US Department of energy assumptions. This could well be an ongoing initiative as prices change and subsidies also change, but it is a core issue of the electric vehicle ecosystem and developing this market and it could use that kind of expertise regularly offering in depth detail and analysis.Academic Discipline: EngineeringStory Deadline: ongoing*Anonymous requests mean that we will forward to your pitch/contact information to the writer.----------------------------------------Eco expert to discuss declining water levels in NYFirst Name: DeliaLast Name: StanleyMedia Type: Online newsMedia/Publication Name: Current.com / Current TVExpertise needed: I have lived and worked in the Carmel/Brewster NY area of Putnam County for 6 years and have seen the water levels in our local ponds, rivers etc decrease each year. This year they are VERY low- so I'm looking for an eco expert to discuss this with me for Current.com's Science section, of which I am the curator. I would prefer someone who lives in the area and would be willing to do an interview with me on camera as we explore these specific regions of land. Talking about renewable energies, and funding and government setting rules in congress about this.
SWA dedicates new collection system
To some people, a landfill is simply “the dump.”But Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority officials say its dump is a source of pride — an innovative, ahead-of-the-curve facility that could soon produce “green,” renewable energy.Wednesday evening, the authority dedicated its new landfill methane gas collection system. The system — a $1.7 million project — will destroy 50,000 to 90,000 metric tons of methane gas built up inside the landfill every year, according to James Allen, director of operations.

It's great to see another community getting on the band wagon and starting to make changes in their county. Here is another great example of harnessing energy from trash and using it to not only create employment in the region but to add services to surrounding counties. This gives you some hope, that renewable energies are being used to better our world and the environment will thank us someday.
Idea Girl Consulting is working towards a better future for both you and me.
I've created another blog site where I've written several articles about renewable energies. On this site we will post links to renewable energy sites, in hopes of creating a community of people who can work together as a team and develop new technologies from these ideas.
The articles will be posted on http://theideagirl.today.com
As for politics and other subjects these will be posted on http://ideasaboutlife.today.com

President Barack Obama's Plan for Renewable Energy.
http://www.renewableenergyworld.com/rea/news/article/2009/02/update-house-passes-final-version-of-stimulus-package
"Obama wants to spend $150 billion over the next decade to create what it calls, "a clean energy future." It's plan would aim to diversify the nation's energy sources by encouraging more renewables, and it would reduce oil comsumption and cut carbon emissions from fossil fuels."
*excerpt from Technology Review - Friday April 10th, 2009 -Deciphering Big Oil's Retreat from Renewables.

CWT - Changing World Technologies is all about renewable energy. Brian Appels company can turn a cities TRASH into RENEWABLE ENERGY. It can also turn AGRICULTURAL WASTE into RENEWABLE ENERGY.
Watch the video and see how Organic Material (anything with Carbon) is converted to oil, gas or a solid.
The United States has 12 Billion Tons of Solid Waste each year.
Garbage trucks take 323 million trips to carry the trash to the dump each year.
CWT has a pilot plant in Philedelphia that uses TDP- Thermal Depolymerization technology (Thermal Conversion Process) to convert your garbage to reuseable oil, gas, and coal
This company had to file Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in March of 2009. Idea Girl Consulting would like to highly recommend that President Obama's Green Team speak with Brian Appel and look at his innovative plans for the future and how it could revolutionize the renewable energy technologies of the world.
Next week you are planning to pass a bill about renewable energy concerning hydro usage and automobiles. You need ideas from people who have taken a "renewable energy" concept and made it work.
I would like to extend this invitation to Mr Steven Chu, The Environmental Protection Agency - Lisa Jackson, The White House Council on Environamental Policy - Nancy Sutley, The Director of Energy and Climate Change - Carol Browner, The Chairman of the select commitee on Energy Independence- Edward Markey, To the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology - John Holdren, The President of the United States Barack Obama , The President's Green Team and to Brian Appel- The Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of CWT (Changing World Technologies). I believe that all of you would benefit from listening to ideas from Brian Appel and consider a plan to stimulate jobs and create new technologies together.
You can twitter "The Idea Girl" if you have more ideas to add to this article and I would be happy to post them on my OB site.
Here are some sites to look at in regards to funding your "Green" ideas.

Sent an idea to kelly ship on Twitter @weather1.com about developing a weather warning icon for people with leaky roofs. It would display the expected amount of rain for the next 24 hours. I would warn them to check the buckets around the home.
It could be connected to doplar radar and send tornado, severe weather storm warnings, wind, the amber - missing child alert and be integrated into car systems to warn of approaching danger as well.
Please comment here or twitter me http://www.twitter.com/theideagirl
IDEA- Israel has many desalination plants and loads of salt. We need salt for our roads in the winter. Do they sell it to us, or would they be interested in trading the salt for something that they require from North America? Any ideas to add what they could use?
Twitter Me http://www.twitter.com/theideagirl and let me know if you post a comment! Thanks :)
In 1929 our world faced the depression era and we survived. Our Grandparents, suffered through hard times and created a new world for themselves by giving scientists and inventors the opportunity to develop new inventions that would later be used to revolutionize our industries. Cars were made and sold and several companies formed from an invention called "the motor."
Men wanted to fly in the sky like birds, so people invented airplanes. It was man's wish to fly to the moon and rockets were invented into space shuttles. Not only do we have astronaughts going to the moon, we have a space station, satellites and millionaires going for a ride (thanks to russia's rocket bus)
I believe it is time for the world to put their heads together and develop new technologies for the future of the industrial world. It's time for a new industrial revolution and this means, gathering ideas from scientists, inventors, space technology, and people like you and me.
We have millions of ideas running through our heads on a daily basis, but we never share them. We might write a few down in a journal, while others take the next step and try and make the idea work somehow.
I believe by taking some of the money from the stimulus package and giving it to people who can develop new technologies, this will help us create new jobs for ourselves in the future.
Today I received my first "idea" site, where a gentleman is asking for volunteer writers for his site.
He has several "green" inventions that are very useful to the environment. I'm hoping to gather more information while I research the internet for these new technologies. Twitter Me if you have an idea to add to this list!
