Hey everyone, I just sent in an editorial to the Omaha World Herald about Senator Obama. I don’t know if it will be published (it should since I am 5-0) but I thought I should post it so all of you could read it:
Republicans are showing a certain lack luster in this current election cycle, playing a back seat to a stronger field of Democratic candidates. Even the Nebraska Democratic Party is making things more interesting by bringing in a caucus rather than a primary.
While Republicans Mitt Romney and John McCain fail to excite, Democrats Hillary Clinton and John Edwards do.
And then there’s that Barack Obama guy, the fiery freshman Senator from Illinois who has taken America by storm. Sure, he’s got a funny name, but he is the only one bringing anything new to the political scene.
Sen. Obama is ushering in a new kind of politics not based on fear, but on hope. His message has resonated with people of various ages, races, and even political parties. Obama is precisely what America needs.
