Diplomacy: 1. The conduct by government officials of negotiations and other relations between nations. 2. The art or science of conducting such negotiations. 3. Skill in managing, handling people, etc., so that there is little or no ill will; tact.
The comment made by President Bush in Israel is outrageous. The comments made later on the subject by John McCain are equally offensive. They obviously do not believe in diplomacy which requires art, skill and tact. They prefer using bombs and missiles to deal with other nations rather than meaningful negotiations and diplomacy.
What is Hillary's point when she says that Barak's candidacy is all about speeches and "just words"? When she's making these statements it's during a speech.....hers!
When Hillary attacked Obama yesterday for pointing out differences in their policies she contradicted her own rhetoric. She postulates that there is not enough substance in Barak's message. She's always shouting that there should be more attention paid to the issues when (as we saw yesterday) she clearly cannot handle being called to task. If anyone's campaign is said to be about "just words" it would be Hillary's as she changes her words to suit the moment while Barak has been consistent and his convictions stand behind his eloquent words.
