I read a cnn article yesterday which said Hillary Clinton has increased her lead over Barack Obama in the past month amongst democrats (something like 34-24%). I was sad and disheartened. Why can't other democrats see what I see in Barack? Why do they choose the status quo? Why do they choose a candidate who did not have the judgement to see that the intelligence for going to war in Iraq was bad? They say she's experienced and somehow thats supposed to make it so she's more likely to make wise decisions. Well, she has "experience" and chose wrong in Iraq while the "inexperienced" Barack Obama made the right decision. Look, there's no correlation between the two attributes of experience and wisdom.
Another reason to vote for Obama is that a recent Newsweek polls shows Barack beating the top republicans by a greater margin than Hillary. We very well may lose if we choose Hillary because I think a lot of democrats will stay home if she's the nominee. I know I might. Barack Obama will bring our country together. Both republicans and democrats need him right now. That being said it's still early and i will never give up hope. If I wanted to canvass in Iowa how would I go about doing that? I just finished graduate school in Biology and have some time where I don't need to be doing anything.
